The meeting
Your Monday team meeting
The plan: move all claims processing at AB Hailogix to a new system in six weeks. You want to sign it off today.
- The meeting lasts three minutes on the clock.
- Four times, someone raises something small. You choose how to reply.
- The bar beside each person shows how ready they are to speak up.

Now you are the one with the concern
You are Zawadi, the compliance officer. Your manager, Chidi, runs a meeting just like the one you led. You know the regulator's claims return is due in switch week. Build your message to Chidi in seven quick steps, one for each step of MESSAGE-to-Power, which I set out in 5M Unbreakable.
Before you start, here are two questions I ask in that book:
"What story are you telling yourself about what would happen if you spoke up here?"
"Whose voice are you picturing in your mind when you decide whether to speak or stay silent?"
