An Introduction

Three Rooms
Three Ways To Engage

Every institution runs across three rooms. The front door is what it says and aspires to. The inner room is what teams actually experience day to day. The back room is where governance gets repaired and structural questions get settled, before the gaps surface as regulator findings, attrition, or uncomfortable headlines. The Three Rooms Framework closes those gaps with instruments the organization installs and keeps. The methodology is the work of I.S. Matthew. Two books underpin it. Stitch In Time sets out five governance domains. 5M Unbreakable sets out five frameworks of individual professional leadership.

01
Workshops and Masterclasses
Half-day to full-day sessions for executive teams, boards, and country leadership. The Three Rooms Workshop gives everyone a shared vocabulary for governance. The ORD Scan is a 48-question diagnostic that maps the gap between the three rooms in depth. Run as open workshops or private masterclasses for teams of 8 to 30, tuned to your sector.
02
Programmes
Multi-week and multi-month work that installs a governance system. The Room Alignment Reset runs four sessions across four weeks. The Room Integrity System runs four days plus a six-month installation. The Discovery Sprint compresses six months of learning into six weeks.
Example A new CEO in their first six months runs a Discovery Sprint, then leaves with a Three Rooms gap analysis and a documented governance architecture system for the next two years.
03
Consulting
Domain-by-domain work for institutions with a specific priority. The five domains, Core Load, Talent Flow, Everyday Work, Signals and Risk, Power and Mandate, each carry their own instruments. Work starts with a Discovery Sprint to find the domain that needs attention, then runs under clear intellectual property and confidentiality terms.
Example A regulator review points to Signals and Risk. Senior attrition points to Talent Flow. A governance reverse points to Power and Mandate. Each engagement leaves a documented architecture the institution keeps.
The Continental Anchor
The methodology comes from two and a half decades of senior practice inside back rooms across Africa. The instruments are built for our African continental operating reality.
